Detail
Basically, it is a tender for the existing River Park. The project provides a visual link between two embankments and outlines the possibility of a built-up area without a massive use of high-rise buildings. The dominant linear composition is profiled by longitudinal multifunctional living spaces and a high-rise hotel complex with administrative buildings. In the center is the piazza - the entrance point for pedestrians, situated right at the junction of Žižkova street, the bus stop and Chatam Sofer's tomb. At the foot of the apartment building is a passage to supplement the Bratislava promenade. Three height levels: 5-storey block base, 12-storey buildings, and a dynamic "skyline" within the range of 17 to 28 floors. Instead of the old halls of the previous “PKO” cultural park, there is now a modern conference center, multipurpose halls and exhibition spaces. In the neighboring cultural and didactic sector is found a spherical Imax cinema, a museum of modern art and design, cinema clubs, small theaters and a planetarium. And a particularly rich connection with the river, that is still somehow forgotten.
