Detail
Three deck access houses respect the geometry and orientation of location and eliminate the noise pollution of Galvaniho Street. 78 flats are completed by multipurpose spaces in block B and spaces for social activities of the inhabitants with a connection to the courtyard. The variability of the flats - one, two and three-room - is enabled by the floor plan of each floor without any intervention in the load-bearing construction and the position of the hygienic cores. The green roof of the garage provides a background for relaxation for residents of the area and at the same time fits into the concept of a "garden city". The orientation of the buildings ideologically enables the fulfillment of energy efficiency - all residential parts are oriented to the south to the west, they are sufficiently bright, but also shaded without the need for an active cooling system. Green areas and roofs provide for the retention and subsequent use of rainwater. The proposal allows for possible conversion to other functions, e.g. as a dormitory or home for the elderly.
