Czech and Slovak architecture at Bratislava Castle
29. March 2024

In addition to models, the exhibition also presents photographs, reproductions of projects and facsimiles of architectural drawings that map more than a century of building the physical form of Czech and Slovak cities. However, the exhibition is not completely identical compared to the Prague selection, and the Bratislava reinstallation provided space to add some valuable pieces from our studio's history as well. In addition to the model of the ČOVSPOL building (2002) and the competition design of the Town Hall for the Podunajské Biskupice (1997), we added to the collection a completely new model of the multifunctional building Mondrian (2005) and also a fascinating competition model of Petržalka by the group of urban planners Tibor Alexy – Ján Kavan – Filip Trnkus, which in 1967 they scored in a huge international urban planning competition. In total, there are about 150 models in the castle and the experience is really pompous.
